Ok so it has been decided what my Birthday is going to be.
A Nightmare Picnic Before Christmas (Halloween in December)
Time: December 20th from 3pm till we find somewhere else to slink off to.
Place: Soundshell, Botanical Gardens, Wellington :P.
What: Come celebrate my 22nd Birthday and enjoy a second chance for a Halloween party. Dress up as something scary and BYO alcohol and Halloween treats.
Spread the word to anyone who knows who I am and R.S.V.P me y'all!
P.s. This has nothing to do with the Nightmare Before Christmas as a theme, though feel free to dress as a character from this brilliant movie. |

IT IS HERE!
KINDERGARTEN now available!
Keller Kinder's debut album 'KINDERGARTEN' is now available. From Wellington, New Zealand comes Keller Kinder's anticipated debut album.
Formed in 2006, Keller Kinder have cemented themselves as one of New Zealand's most promising dark-end bands. Successfully bridging goth, industrial and metal, Keller Kinder's music is dark and intense, with pummeling dance-metal tracks meeting dirgy doom-and-gloom over the course of album. Stomping drum beats, epic synth lines and a multitude of guitars accompany bilingual vocals that span harsh aggression and vulnerable isolation. All the while Keller Kinder keep their tongues firmly in their cheeks, remembering that it's good to laugh at yourself from time to time too.
2007 saw Keller Kinder play support for Psyche in Auckland, and by the end of 2008 Keller Kinder will have played their first international show at the Under the Blue Moon festival in Sydney, Australia, and been the only band to perform at both of the 2008 Fetish Balls in Wellington and Christchurch.
Keller Kinder have established themselves as a force to be reckoned with - a fact to which Kindergarten is testament.

music: Adam Vink - Give Me What I Want And Nobody Gets Hurt

Haven't posted in a while but I think this calls for an update.
The tour was great fun for the most part, definitely an experience for all. I doubt many would have had it as good for their first tour.
Wellington - Decent turn out, surrounded by friends kinda took the sting away from the lineup shrinking though still didn't bode well for the start of a four show tour.
Napier - Tight show, best we have played in a while. Other than that it was a disaster, sound tech was stoned and useless, audience was mostly made up of drunken psychopaths, and friendlies left half way through our set. Yet Nullity before us seemed to get a perfectly good reception, was a nice show as well guys. In the end the spa and the alcohol awaiting us at home (rock star as fuck!) was a serious motivator for our quickest pack up on record.
Auckland - Once again being known helped a lot. Lots of friends made it a fun show was awesome seeing you Auckland people again, I should be up again soon. Performance was a bit loosey goosey but that was mainly due to extenuating circumstances. Seeing the sky tower shrouded in fog seemed to match the doom and gloom of the evening however. Awesome line up as well, Provocateur playing 'give me what I want and nobody gets hurt' live was a definite highlight. You guys rocked! The night was only really ruined by the 8am start the next morning, kinda made post gig partying an impossibility.
Tauranga - We arrived here 3 hours before the gig was due to start. We found the venue, a fucken amazing community center in the middle of the strand. Internet cafe/Venue, open 24 hours with free internet. Apparently they lose a lot of money but have funding from personal sources, someone who actually agrees keeping kids off the street is a good idea. We were put up here with food, coffee, and a backstage room. Treated like complete VIP's, our second rock star experience of the tour. Show was good and we were invited back with a promise of a larger audience under normal circumstances.
Arrived back in Welly at 1am the next morning with huge sighs of relief.
Thankyou so much Bryan, Kate, and Izzy. It was awesome hanging with you and your support was a huge boon. I still can't get the 'burn the bridges' song outa my head:P, you guys seriously rock.
Also thank you so much again Brad and Bryan for driving us around everywhere!!! |

Well this is my first proper update in a very long time, and the crowd goes "who the fuck gives a toss?"
But anyway I have finished all my exams and I pretty sure that they went really well. I am slowly settling into the relaxing feeling of my holidays before I go and sign up for a summer paper, it's taking much longer than usual for me to feel like I'm actually stress free. Planning lots of pissups to relieve the semesters stress, it'll be great!
In other news I scored myself a new 80g ipod and man are they pretty. Interactive menus using cover art, new matte finish which doesn't scratch as easily as a lepers cornea (would have thought this one would have been obvious to apple alot earlier on) and apparently about 40 hours battery life. It probably won't be quite as much as that but either way it will still be ALOT. I am so very glad to be able to carry around my music everywhere, now I can't even hear that religious nut on Lampton yelling at me about rebirth:P.
Oh and you should all come to this and yes even those of you in other parts of the country, I'm very unreasonably expecting you to be there:D.
